Metro Music in the Other Park is back for its 11th season starting June 5. These concerts, produced by the San Jose Downtown Association, are always absolutely free. You will be able to enter the Music in the Park 20th anniversary contest by stopping by the Metro Newspapers booth at Music in the Other Park.

Dates this year: Every Thursday in June
(June 5, June 12, June 19, June 26)

5:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
St. James Park
at First and St. James streets

Food and beverages are available at the park. Be sure to visit the Lounge in the Park, which is open to the public, and enjoy sangria, beer and wine.

This year: no smoking in the park.

June 26: Midnight Star (retro R&B)
Bust a move and groove to classic hits including "Freakazoid," "No Parking on the Dance Floor," "Operator," and "Midas Touch."

Supporting artist: Ryze The Band (Retro R&B) - this band was formerly Nu Day, a San Jose favorite.
