Review/Comment
In the midst of a howling blizzard, a busload of passengers holes up in a roadside diner outside Kansas City. On the bus is a nightclub chanteuse named Cherie who is being pursued by Bo, a cowboy who wants to sling her over his shoulder and carry her off to Montana. Overnight, the owner of the café and the bus driver begin a long-overdue friendship, an aging scholar learns a valuable lesson, and love appears unexpectedly in this classic romantic comedy by one of America's greatest playwrights.

We were not anticipating such a first class performance from a theater so small you can miss seeing it from the road. And yet about 100 attended a really fine performance on Valentine Day's (night), on a very well-done set. The casting was right on target and if you have a chance, you'll enjoy the small ticket price and very good performances. We're going to come back and see additional works based on well this was done. Collapse

Everyone in the small cast was excellent. Robyn Winslow was especially good and fun to watch. I really enjoyed not only the way she brought the character to life through her lines, but also how she conveyed her internal monologue through her facial expressions and movement. All the cast did a fantastic job staying in character when they were not the immediate focus. Dirk Leatherman moved smoothly into the creep factor as Dr. Lyman making it hard to stay in your seat and not protect the innocent school girl behind the counter. In this play it seems like everyone is dealing with loneliness in some way. It makes you think and laugh and was definitely worth an evening at the theatre. Collapse
