Carolyn Hofstetter majored in art at Stanford University. She later studied painting with Ray Brose and Ted Goerschner, who inspired her love of plein air painting. She has been an active exhibitor with many shows to her credit and has served as a juror for local art groups, in addition to giving program presentations and critiques. Her paintings of the Allied Arts Guild gardens are featured on the cover and throughout the cookbook Tastes, Tales and Traditions, published by the Palo Alto Auxiliary for Children (benefiting the Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford) in 2005.  Carolyn has just returned from her June trip to the Dordogne, France and will be exhibiting many new oils and watercolors
