This event, which is the largest Independence Day parade in Northern California, brings entries from across the state to compete for awards and cash prizes. The Symetra Fireworks Spectacular is presented to you by Symetra Financial high above the Port of Redwood City. They can be seen from downtown and anywhere west of Highway 101 where there is a clear view of the skies above the Port. They can also be seen from high points all over the Peninsula. See the article by VIA Magazine calling this show one of the best fireworks shows in the west!

Other features and activities include: an entertainment stage, arts & crafts booths, Battle of the (Marching) Bands, food & beverages, a kids area, information & sponsor booths.
