This was a very VERY ambitious piece for RTE and the outcome may surprise you in many ways. It's almost avant guard in a way. The casting is definately not what you would expect to be sure. Do yourself a favor and get there in time to read through the entire program notes and forget the movie entirely. If you do those two things, you are likely to be entertained by what you see.
