90 minutes of true dark comedy. The casting, writing, acting, direction, scenic design, sound, every flippin' aspect of this show was just awesome. This is one of the top 3 shows I have seen in the bay area in probably as many years. JUST great. I was crying I was laughing so hard. Yes it's twisted, sick, and certainly has its moments of edge but this is just so great! This is 2 for 2 this season for RTE and I'm so glad I went. I rarely see shows twice, but I really want to go back and catch this one again. So GREAT!!!! Collapse

Quirky and edgy comedy which explores one's beliefs in an age where everyone is trying to be the same. The casting is a bit uneven, particularly when characters actually play multiple roles to fill out the story. However the perspiring Sister Liz will grasp you and demonstrate what can happen as she holds onto her beliefs and shares her friendship and compassion with those whose lives she touches. A fun evening of daring theatre you won't find just anywhere; thanks RTE for providing us with an entertaining and thought provocking theatre option. Collapse

It was my first non-musical 'live' show and has been a great eye opener which will make me pay close attention to new non-musicals playing in town. We enjoyed every minute of the play. The comedy which was strewn all over the play and the fantastic dialogue delivery of the actors made every embedded comedy chime with the viewers. All the actors (especially Liz (my wifes favorite) & the cheese maker guy (Nathan?)) were a natural fit and they became the part they played. awesome work guys! keep going! Collapse

Lots of chuckles, and impressive set, script and acting in this show. Renegade is definately back. The creative double casting, quick costume changes, and cohesive direction makes this one of Renegade's best. I'm glad they are back and I look forward to their upcoming quirky off the wall productions based on the solid work seen in Bookof Liz. A great selection and great execution. Collapse

With excellent comic timing, and a script that is a jaw dropping funny, the actors are able to create a sick and entertaining performance. Yes it's odd, yes it's random, yes it makes fun of every taboo in the book just about, but it does so with clever and witty language and self awareness. This may not be for everyone but particularly the second piece is really worth seeing for some very strong character performances and wonderful turns of phrase by the playwright. Collapse

This show is funny. Really funny. It is a smart and humorus look at American culture which is very well acted and producted. A great way to spend the evening!
