    Modern-day bard Patrick Ball returns with his haunting evening-length solo musical theater piece based on the remarkable, true story of the Blasket Islands. For centuries a small community of fishermen and farmers, poets, musicians and storytellers made their home in this remote and dangerous place. Finally, in 1953, unable to sustain themselves any longer, the last islanders abandoned the beautiful and rugged island terrain and with it, their traditional way of life. This is the storyteller and Celtic harper’s 18th consecutive season performing as part of the Evenings of Cultural Arts series.
