Hearing Voices - We know that there is medication for this condition, but how ‘bout music therapy instead! Here’s a concert that is good for what ails you. It is a singing extravaganza of epic proportions. Three amazing groups led by top Bay Area vocalist in the prime of their careers. That coupled with this high fidelity room and you won’t need no doctor!

The wonderful vocal group Clockwork is an extraordinary group of musicians who has developed a sound rooted in the tradition of great vocal jazz groups such as New York Voices, The HiLos, Singers Unlimited and Lambert, Hendricks and Ross. Clockwork draws creative inspiration from the variety of musical and artistic experiences which have influenced each their talented singers. The result: a fresh and entertaining new interpretation of the vocal jazz ensemble.

Wendy Waller is a vocalist driven by her creative passion to embrace her roots. Her style is peppered with rootsy, bluesy, funk soul, jazz, country and classical. The only musical category you can put her in is U for “unique”. Her range of material is derived from whatever she loves to sing as well as her own original songs. She improvises, tells a story, and entices the music to live everywhere around her.

Kat Parra’s latest CD Azucar de Amor is a critically acclaimed masterpiece produced by Wayne Wallace for Patois Records. Kat Parra has leapt beyond the boundaries of the typical latin jazz singer with her beautifully crafted latin/ladino/ jazz songs and voice. With her thirst for the exploration of world rhythms and tonalities, she has developed a style of music that encompasses sounds that both transcend and bend the stereotypical definition of latin jazz.
