SMHS Drama Department presents Peter Pan - Grades K-8
Performing Arts for Youth Society
January 27-January 28, 2009
San Mateo High School’s renowned Drama Department returns with a special condensed production of Peter Pan, one of the stage’s all-time favorite family Broadway musicals.
Under the impeccable direction of Brad Friedman, with choreography by Robyn Tribuzi, music direction by Attilio Tribuzi, and vocal direction by Shaun Reifschneider, and featuring classic songs like “I’ve Got to Crow” and “I’m Flying”, James M. Barrie’s famous story takes on a whole new dimension that will thrill a child of any age!
Since 1971, the Performing Arts for Youth Society (PAYS) Inc. has presented symphony, opera, theater and dance to the elementary and middle school students of San Mateo County and other nearby Bay Area communities. The goal of PAYS is to instill a love and appreciation of the performing arts in the students, inspire them to use their own creative abilities and appreciate those of the performers. By presenting programs of the highest quality, PAYS strives to enrich and enhance arts education in the schools and to build future audiences.

I didn't know what to think, I mean, my daughter and I don't know Sign Language but I wanted her to see the play. After seeing it... not only was it very interesting because all the characters use sign language but they voice everything too. The show was amazing. Lot's of high energy just for the kids and lots of audience interaction with the actors during the show. William Morgan sure knows his stuff and knows how to entertain children. Collapse

Loved it! As a transposed Asheville,Western North Carolinian moving to Foster City in 1971, I was homesick for the Blue Ridge Mountains' song and dance...I recognized the Square Dance steps from Asheville High School Square Dance Team some 45 years ago...Loved the energy and Side Saddle Music, especially Rocky Top...Keep explaining the ethnic influences of the region (the Geltic influence explains my husband's W.N.C. accent)...Yee haw and kudos to you all for such a fine toe tapping hand clapping slapping time! Glad I volunteered for my Granddaughter Arianna's Field Trip...Please come back and perform again... Collapse
