Join us for the return of this internationally acclaimed drama about the life of Jackie Robinson. Through a series of moving flashbacks that chronicle Jackie’s life from childhood to his professional career, the play celebrates the life of an extraordinary man fighting a tough battle against prejudice to become the first African-American major league baseball player. Come along as Jackie faces bitter confrontations on the way to one of his greatest moments of triumph - receiving the Most Valuable Player award for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1949.

Since 1971, the Performing Arts for Youth Society (PAYS) Inc. has presented symphony, opera, theater and dance to the elementary and middle school students of San Mateo County and other nearby Bay Area communities. The goal of PAYS is to instill a love and appreciation of the performing arts in the students, inspire them to use their own creative abilities and appreciate those of the performers. By presenting programs of the highest quality, PAYS strives to enrich and enhance arts education in the schools and to build future audiences.
