    Sponsored by the San Mateo Public Library, the San Mateo Public Library Foundation, and the Latino Library Advisory Committee, the City of San Mateo presents a latino cultural spotlight, the Latino Film Festival. This week's feature is Stand and Deliver. The compelling true-life story of East Los Angeles calculus high school teacher Jaime Escalante (Edward James Olmos) who surmounted overwhelming odds in his efforts to inspire and educate his students. All of his students went on to pass the Advanced Placement Test in Calculus.
