Add Review/CommentNiles Essanay Silent Film Museum presents Salomy Jane (California Motion Picture Corp., 1914) with Beatriz Michelena and House Peters. This is a return engagement to the Edison Theater, first shown here on August 30, 1915 when the theater was called The Bell for a short time. Salomy Jane was a Bay Area product, filmed in Marin County. At this time, it’s the only complete feature surviving from the company based in San Rafael. You’re certain to be impressed by the Bret Harte story, the scenery and the acting. Don’t miss this rare opportunity, co-sponsored by the Marin County Civic Center Library. Preceding the film will be a presentation on the history of the California Motion Picture Corporation.
Bruce Loeb is featured on the piano. Snacks are available for purchase.
