    Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum presents The Curse of Quon Gwon (Mandarin, 1917) with Marion Wong and Violet Wong. Made in Oakland, this was the first production by a Chinese-American producer, Marion Wong. A discussion with Violet Wong’s grandson Greg Mark and his aunt Mai Lon Gittlesohn about the Mandarin Film Company and its origins will also be presented.

    Judy Rosenberg is featured on the piano. Snacks are available for purchase.
