Brothers Sergio and Odair Assad have set the benchmark for all guitarists by creating a new standard of innovation and expression. With a family tradition rich in music, collaborations with Yo-Yo Ma, Grammy awards and more, they have played a major role in introducing new music for two guitars. Part of Stanford Lively Arts Informance Series at CSMA in which world-class visiting artists provide excerpts and conversation in an intimate, educational setting.

    The CSMA has a wonderful program of free cultural performances for families. Four Winds was an example of the terrific programming. It instilled an interest in native american culture in our son.

    Not only is the Kulintang music and dance beautiful, but this group performed wonderfully for their audience - the children and the adults were captivated.

    These guys sure sounded like a lot more than four men and four mics. The sound was great and the breadth of music was a lot of fun. Mostly I'm amazed.
