    In his interpretation of this literary treasure by the great Russian poet Aleksander Pushkin, director A. Liznenkov is suggesting that the human life is a constant struggle to defeat inevitable death through the all-consuming passions of envy, lust, and greed. The mix of surrealism and grotesque will stimulate both your intellect and imagination. Performed in Russian with English subtitles.
