    Artistic Directors Mario Alonzo and Michael Lowe open Peninsula Ballet Theatre’s 38th Anniversary Season with Carlos Carvajal’s Nutcracker with full symphonic orchestra conducted by Chris Christensen. See the Christmas Tree that grows, the Party, the Battle. Travel through the Snow Forest, to the Land of the Sweets, where delicacies from around the world entertain the heroine, Clara and their beloved Nutcracker Prince. Come bring your family to see this well-loved holiday dance classic and meet the dancers onstage after every performance.

        The format of the Carnival of the Animals was a perfect introduction to Ballet, with the first two performances being short, beautifully and skillfully performed with lively music. The third performance "Carnival of the Animals" was filled with eye catching costumes, lively and entertaining dances and absolutely perfect commentary by the introducing "tour guide with Jane and Junior."
