I cannot believe that the majority of these actors are community theatre actors! There was not a weak link in the cast; absolutely everyone was phenomenal. Marc Jacobs had a wonderfully comical take on the mysterious man/ narrator. He was a joy to watch, and told the story in an engaging way. I thought that the baker was great as well. His acting was so believable. The audience cared about him so much and felt all of his emotions. Mindy Lym was a stunning Cinderella. Her voice is simply flawless! Lee Anne Payne was UNBELIEVABLE as the baker's wife. She developed such a complex character, with layers of humor, grief, love and hope. It was such a pleasure to watch her on stage. Broadway by the Bay is a truly outstanding theatre company. I recommend seeing all of their shows! Collapse

This show is soooo amazing. I absolutely loved it and I am going to see it again. The dancing was phenomenal and so were all of the leads. The cast really brought the message of the play to life and they portrayed it beautifully on the stage. I could not imagine anything better! The direction was flawless and meaningful and really made sense with the meaning of the show. I cannot rave enough about this wonderful show because it was so good. Footloose is not performed very much and I think that it should be because it is so good. The cast had emotion and humor like no other. This was just a profound experience. I really saw God in Shaw. I saw the powerfulness of his actions and how he was truly taken aback by Ren McCormick. The vocals were also beautiful, with seamless harmonies that seemed to flow without distress. I absolutely loved it I cannot rave enough about it. I give it five whole stars because it was so phenomenal. I just cannot believe it! Collapse

Stephen Schwartz & Friends is a wonderful concert event. The cabaret style event, performed by Stephen Schwartz on piano with some of Broadway and New York Cabaret's finest vocalists, is an outstanding event the whole family will love. Schwartz is the understated master of modern music who has rather quietly generated some of the biggest Broadway/Hollywood hits of the last 40 years. Scott Coulter and Liz Callaway are dazzling. Debbie Gravitte is Spectacular! Bring your favorite Stephen Schwartz musical CD and you may have a chance to meet the artists or purchase CD's and get autographs after the show. Honestly, this may be the most fun you will ever have had at a concert. (Spoiler Alert: Sing along at the encore medley!) Enjoy! Collapse

We 'thoroughly' enjoyed Broadway By the Bay's production of Thoroughly Modern Millie, and were particularly impressed by Dominique Bonino as Miss Dorothy. We saw Ms. Bonino earlier this year as Clara in PA Players' The Light in the Piazza. She has star quality, and not only does she have an amazing voice, but she turned out to be a true triple threat in this, more light hearted, role! Her duet in the second act with Trevor Graydon (played by a very talented and strong voiced Will Giammona) almost stole the show. We also loved the lady that played Ms. Flannery, she had some great comedic timing. The other leads also hold their own, and the very talented cast, combined with a spectacular set, and outstanding musical orchestration make this production a 'must see' before it closes this upcoming weekend. Overall I think it was a good show but it was hard to tell because most of the leads forgot to play to the back of the cavernous theatre. Heather Orth was tremendous as Miss Flannery, the controlling secretary. She had a supporting character part but brought the house down in her scenes and she got by far the biggest ovation. She deserved every bit of it. Dominique Bonino was also fantastic as Miss Dorothy. She has it all: looks, the voice, great dancer, comic timing. I could see her being Broadway star one day if she pursues it. The show itself is a little bothersome in that it tries to be an "old fashioned" Broadway musical. In that sense it's a facsimile of the great shows of the 40s,50s, and 60s but it never reaches the level of the greats like West Side Story or South Pacific. The dancing was good, but the chorus and some of the leads needed to sing out more. It was difficult to make out the words of many of the numbers. Collapse
