    Sinfonia is comprised of young musicians with excellent technical skills, working to cultivate artistic quality and maturity. The season begins at the Chamber Music Workshop in August, where advanced training takes place under the watchful eyes (and ears) of a nationally renowned faculty. Three public concerts comprise the season, featuring prominent local soloists and winners of PACO's own annual concerto competition.

    Benjamin Simon conducts Sinfonia with featured artist Cindy Chang on piano. The program for this date includes: Yasushi Akutagawa - Triptyque for String Orchestra (1953), Ludwig van Beethoven - String Quartet in C minor, Op. 18 #4, Erwin Schulhoff - String Quartet No. 1 (1921), Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Piano Concerto No. 24 in C minor, K. 491, Benjamin Britten - Simple Symphony.
