November 23, 2008

Add Review/CommentA brief dedication of the Zanker House as the site of the first African American Heritage House will be held and a reception immediately following will include refreshments and jazz entertainment. The AAHH is the dream of Lula Briggs Galloway, who was born in San José but moved away and founded a Juneteenth museum in Michigan. She returned and decided that the African American heritage project needed a place to call home. Briggs Galloway was the CEO of the National Association of Juneteenth Lineage, Inc.
