On December 1, 2008, the San Mateo County STD/HIV Program will mark the 20th annual observance of World AIDS Day (WAD). The face of HIV/AIDS has greatly changed over the years, as has the world’s response to the epidemic. In keeping with this year’s theme, Facing AIDS, the STD/HIV Program has produced a photographic exhibit of twelve (22” x 28”) framed black and white portraits that include autobiographical stories of San Mateo residents who are living with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS. These portraits personalize the spirit, determination, vitality, and humor of its subjects.

The photo exhibit titled I am… will be installed and available for viewing in the lower-level community gallery at 400 County Center in Redwood City during the entire month of December.
