    Never heard of poetry slam? Picture poetry with Olympic style scoring. Winners take home a little cash and a whole lot of street credit. San Jose’s is the fastest growing slam in the Bay Area. Since its MACLA debut one year ago, audience size has tripled and poets have represented San Jose in national and international competitions. Join us each month as more and more first time poets take the stage to share in this DIY art form!

    Poetry Slam at MACLA happens every 2nd Monday of each month except for April 6, which is the first Monday for the month of April.
