    This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which is internationally recognized as the catalyst for the modern gay rights movement. We send out the call to everyone to join us in honoring this historic event and celebrate diversity in the Bay Area. The annual San Jose Pride Parade and celebration begins Saturday with a community day for friends and family with full entertainment, food, drinks, crafts and booths. The parade will be held Sunday in downtown San Jose followed by the festival on Discovery Meadow with headliner entertainment.
