Adela - A moving examination of the ways in which poverty and old age marginalize Filipino citizens, Adela is also a tribute to its remarkable lead actress, Anita Linda, a celebrated veteran of Filipino cinema. Linda brings great humor, wisdom, and world-weariness to the role of an isolated woman preparing for her 80th birthday.

The Love of Siam - Two teenage boys come to terms with their own affections (and one’s family tragedy) in this groundbreaking gay romance. This family drama/teen love story/pop-culture phenomenon won most of Thailand’s best-film awards, and was that country’s representative to the 2009 Academy Awards.

Mixtape 4 the MSG Addict - With works that resist marketable labels of this-or-that genre, this compilation inspires laughter and fear, camp sensibility and sincere appreciation, and most of all a rollicking good time at the movies, complete with switchblade sisters, maternal vampires, found footage, and Lou Diamond Phillips tributes.

Whatever It Takes - Whatever It Takes tells the inspiring story of a South Bronx high school in its dynamic first year, led by a charismatic Chinese American principal. This captivating look at the frustrations and dreams of students and teachers alike was supported by the prestigious Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program. World Premiere.

The Mosque in Morgantown - A small university town in West Virginia becomes the unlikely battleground for the soul of Islam in America when Asra Nomani fights for the right of women to pray alongside men in the local mosque. A thoughtful, evenhanded documentary about a community struggling with change while trying to hold itself together. World Premiere.

Fruit Fly - The composer and co-star of Colma: The Musical returns with this loud-and-proud, indie-Asian-gay hijacking of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg that aims his poisoned pen and catchy Casio keyboards toward San Francisco and the performance artists, irritating roommates, fag hags, leather bears and versatile bottoms that sing and dance therein. World Permiere.

Karma Calling - Lord Ganesh sounds like a Sopranos mobster when east meets west in the Raj household in New Jersey. Call centers, Hindu hip-hop, dollar-store moguls and busybody aunties are all toppings for this extra-large slice of the immigrant story. The moral? Don’t hang up on that call center operator. It might be your Karma calling. World Premiere.

The Chaser - An ex-cop-turned-pimp matches wits with an impassive serial killer in this gritty thriller, a sleeper hit in South Korea that combines Oldboy, SE7EN, and Zodiac in its atmospheric set designs, cat-and-mouse twists and cop-versus-criminal mind games.
