Nigerian master musician Babá Ken Okulolo and his musical brothers are among the few top contemporary West African musicians with deep roots in African folk and palmwine music. This is the music they grew up with, music that was played under the moonlight. Together they bring to life their earliest village memories with harmonious voices, melodic guitars, and traditional percussion instruments. This gentle but joyously rhythmic music is a special treat for those who enjoy authentic African sounds.

"In Nigeria, music is created to help people rise above the pain and suffering of daily life, to transcend all evils with the joy of music."--Baba Ken Okulolo

Had to go as soon as I saw the listing - my husband loves the Beatles - I love to sing - and we needed something fun and de-stressing as we were going through the process of buying a house. Drove fr Mnt View - Had a great time - great crowd! Good music 3 guitars one base at times and a piano. Some dancing thrown in. Bit expensive but worth it! Chairs and venue were nice. Only down side was the Requestorama time was too much of free for all - need to have a hat at the door to put names of those who wanted to sing a certain song - then Nancy could have pulled names making it a more fair. There was also a great gallery showing we visited during intermission called 50-50 -barely had time to see it all - fantastic - finished the night with the song Imagine - a great night out!!!
