The Feast of Flowers, "Elliniki Protomayia” dates to ancient times.  Held on “Protomayia,” the annual national holiday in Greece, families will traditionally picnic in the countryside, picking the season's first blooms of wild flowers. The flowers are then woven into beautiful wreaths and taken home to adorn front doors until June 24, when during the Feast of St. John, they are burned in giant bonfires. This cultural event will feature Greek food, pastries, live music by Mythos Band, Greek dance lessons, art displays and puppet shows.
