    San Jose summers wouldn't be the same without Music in the Park, Downtown's most anticipated concert series. For more than 20 years, people have come out to enjoy a variety of music at free Thursday night Music in the Park concerts. Scion is the title sponsor, and Dos Equis along with Metro Newspapers return as presenting sponsors. Food and beverages are available at the park. The Lounge in the Park, which is open to the public, will serve sangria, beer and wine.

    August 13: Better Than Ezra (Rock/Pop)- 2009 has been a year of change for the New Orlean's-based band Better Than Ezra. With a new drummer and a new album set for release in May, Better Than Ezra's future is bright. While their loyal fans, the "Ezralites," continue to follow their success. Opening for Better Than Ezra is Thriving Ivory.

      $3 parking after 6pm in the garages at Third Street near Santa Clara Street and at Market and San Pedro streets. Public lots near the park also offer affordable parking after 6pm.
