    This outdoor dance festival includes performances by over 30 dance artists performing on an outdoor stage in the Fairmont Plaza/Circle of Palms in downtown San Jose. The Bay Area dance community has long been one of the largest, most active and thriving dance communities in the country. This year’s festival once again offers a huge roster of programs — including more than 200 free classes, performances, rehearsals, lecture demonstrations and studio open houses by over 100 performers and performing groups. The annual festival gives a wide-angle view of the many and varied styles of dance practiced in the region. Ranging from established company programs to one-time events, Bay Area Celebrates National Dance Week is an opportunity for dance-lovers of all ages and levels of experience an array of international movement styles — ballet, modern dance, ballroom, folk dance, jazz, hip hop, belly dance, aerial dance, African dance, dance of India, hula, fire dance, Chinese ribbon dance, Carnaval workshops and more!
