    San Jose summers wouldn't be the same without Music in the Park, Downtown's most anticipated concert series. For more than 20 years, people have come out to enjoy a variety of music at free Thursday night Music in the Park concerts. Scion is the title sponsor, and Dos Equis along with Metro Newspapers return as presenting sponsors. Food and beverages are available at the park. The Lounge in the Park, which is open to the public, will serve sangria, beer and wine.

    August 6: Anthony David (R&B)- Anthony David is the words behind some of multi-Grammy winning artist India Arie's music. After releasing two independent records of his own, David has been able to hone what he refers to as the Millenium Blues sound. David's first album, Acey Deucy, is his first on a major label a collaboration between Universal Republic Records and India Arie. Opening for Anthony David is N'dambi.

      $3 parking after 6pm in the garages at Third Street near Santa Clara Street and at Market and San Pedro streets. Public lots near the park also offer affordable parking after 6pm.
