The Campbell Summer Concert Series is brought to you by the City of Campbell and generous donations from the community. The series starts in mid-June and continues for nine weeks with a different band playing each week. Bring a lawn chair and support the Campbell Museum Foundation by purchasing BBQ hot dogs, polish sausages, chips, cookies, wine, beer, soda and more. Please leave your pets at home.

July 9: Sparkletones (50s Music at its Best) - The Sparkletones began as a garage band in the late 1950's and became a popular local talent in the Santa Clara Valley during the Rock'n'Roll years throughout the 60's. They played on local television stations such as "Record Hop" in San Jose and the "Ben Alexander Show" in San Francisco and participated in Battle of the Bands at all the Northern California County Fairs. Due to popular demand, they reunited after 40 years to play at their 40th high school reunion and have made a huge comeback, wowing audiences with their unique blend of Rock'n Roll, Rock-a-Billy, Doo-Wop, Calypso, Cha Cha, and more.

We were in Santa Monica a few years ago and were looking for a theater production. We "accidentially" went to see this when we couldn't get tickets to a big theater production It was a delight! If you went (and probably suffered) during your Catholic School experience, this is for you! Wear adult diapers because you will laugh so hard you might wet your pants. Be prepared to participate but be sober or you will be talked about by your theater companions for years...you could become part of the act. I raised my hand (I swore I wouldn't but that old reflex action took over) and was duly taken to task. It is really a fun experience and will help you recall long forgotten memories. Don't miss this one!!!! AND Bring some money to help a pagan baby. (You know the ones I contributed to saving now have PhDs and are designing your computers, semiconductors and all the other high tech stuff) Collapse
