For the seventh consecutive year, Santa Clara County Parks and South Bay Folks team up to bring you free, family-friendly concerts. Located in a pleasant outdoor setting overlooking Vasona Lake and Los Gatos Creek, this series features local artists performing a wide variety of acoustic genres ranging from Americana, Big Band, Celtic, and Jazz to traditional and contemporary folk, and so much more. Dance and clap along with this grassroots concert series featuring a variety of acoustic music genres and exceptional local artists. Bring a blanket and the family for a toe-tappin good time by beautiful Vasona Lake. Food concessions available.

June 20: Celtic Heart (Irish/American Folk) - Celtic Heart performs a hybrid of traditional and contemporary Irish and American folk music, combining and moving skillfully between ancient melodies and cutting edge original songs, fiery instrumentals and pristine four part vocals, serious composition and engaging humor, all presented with a warm, approachable and friendly stage presence. The combination of guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, tin whistle, and bodhran (Irish drum) has long been recognized as the essence of the Irish sound, but Celtic Heart have managed to bring new meaning to the old music pleasing the ear and stirring the heart.

    Being a big fan of both Vasona and Christmas Lights displays, you would think that the Fantasy of Lights would be right up my alley. But after seeing those huge commercial signs attached to each display, I've always boycotted the event. They could have handed out a flyer at the entrance that included the sponsor's names. Or even have a Burma Shave-type row of sponsor row of signs at the beginning. But including those oversized, ugly sponsor ads next to each display, and that on top of paying for admission, is simply crass and void of the friendly spirit that the displays should portray. After reading comments such as this, maybe the F-O-L group or the sponsors will have the inclination to get this changed. Collapse

I have seen them play dozens of times and they keep you toe tapping and hand clapping. You come away singing their songs! I'm glad to see them at Vasona this year. Collapse
