San Jose summers wouldn't be the same without Music in the Park, Downtown's most anticipated concert series. For more than 20 years, people have come out to enjoy a variety of music at free Thursday night Music in the Park concerts. Scion is the title sponsor, and Dos Equis along with Metro Newspapers return as presenting sponsors. Food and beverages are available at the park. The Lounge in the Park, which is open to the public, will serve sangria, beer and wine.

August 27: White Album Ensemble (Beatles tribute) - This is the sixth straight Music in the Park appearance for the White Album Ensemble. This year they will perform the soundtrack to the movie Across the Universe, a story of soul-searching, self-doubt, and individual powerlessness cleverly conveyed through a multitude of Beatles' songs. The band consists of eight top Santa Cruz and Monterey, California based musicians and vocalists. Not branded as a look-alike or tribute band, but more like a symphony or orchestra playing timeless pieces.
