Arrgh! Pirates! The masterful adventure novel of Treasure Island comes to life onstage in Ken Ludwig’s brand new adaptation of this gripping yarn of piracy. Legendary swashbucklers such as the villainous Billy Bones, the sinister Israel Hands, and the hideous Blind Pew pursue young Jim Hawkins and the infamous Long John Silver in this rollicking quest for gold on the high seas. Guaranteed to stir every soul who has ever longed for swashbuckling adventure and …treasure!!

For me the techincal elements in the small space were the most magical part of this experience. Costuming, lights, set and props were clever. Solid performances, a decent (though not as funny or kid friendly as I would have thought) script and good crowd puts this on the see if you have time list. The accents were at times hard to understand, the fight choreography seemed choppy and it was about 20 minutes too long, but the inventiveness of the tech was certainly well done. Collapse

Delightful! The cast was energetic and fun. The set and lighting beautiful and imaginative. Three cheers and a bottle of rum for casting Annamarie MacLeod as young Jim Hawkins. Christopher Tann as Ben Gun – Wow! On the character’s make-up and performance. Loved the sword fighting! Young or old Treasure Island is an adventure not to be missed. Collapse

Saw it last Sat. night. Great job. Ben Gunn crazier than the book - type casting? Script wanders away from Stevenson's original at times, but still was engaging. Set was well thought out- many locales conveyed without too many changes. Well done! Eight year-old granddaughter had a great time too (and got her picture taken with pirate and parrot). Collapse
