    An outdoor public sculpture opening reception by City Arts of San Mateo featuring sculpture artist Sinem Banna. Hear Me (Art for Social Space) is a sculptural tree-bench which surrounds a red maple tree; it incorporates self portraits created by the artist and children with special needs. The bench also includes written words representing student’s thoughts. There are small bells hung on the bench creating a soft, and a calming sound as wind blows, like a call to viewers to come and join.

    At the end of the reception, San Mateo's Concert in the Park performance will begin.
