25th Annual Coastal Cleanup Day
September 19, 2009
Each fall, people all over the United States participate in Coastweeks, a three-week celebration of our coastal resources that begins on the third Saturday in September. The kick off for the celebration is Coastal Cleanup Day, when tens of thousands of Californians come together across the state to keep our coasts and inland waterways free of debris. Meet in front of the Museum to help clean our stretch of the Guadalupe River. Bring sunscreen.

I went with my sister and my 3 nephews to see the Raytones at the CDM last year (still known as the Baby Blue Blues Band then), and we had a total blast! The boys were 2, 4 and 6 at the time and each were entranced by the great sound, the funny lyrics, the dancing, bubbles, balloons, and of course Ray! The 2 year old requested "Boo's Band" whenever he wanted to listen to music, and the 4 & 6 year olds remembered a lot of the words after listening to the CD. Great experience! Collapse
