The California Pops Orchestra, conducted by Kim Venaas, premieres its 2009-2010 season with Heroes, Heartthrobs and High Adventure. This concert features an amazing array of selections from the original scores of Oscar-winning movies. This music is designed to get you laughing, loving and riding your horse off into the sunset.

Compositions will include those of Bernard Herrmann, Ennio Morricone, Henry Mancini, Dimitri Tiomkin, Victor Young and more. Movies represented will include The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Around the World in 80 Days, High Noon, and The Lion King.
