This six-piece band of seasoned professionals led by the dynamic Catie Chase is a mainstay of Coastside festivals and music venues. With Catie’s crystal-clear vocals, a danceable downbeat, smooth guitar stylings and three and four part harmonies, the band hits on the classics of a broad range of artists, from Bonnie Raitt and Aretha Franklin to Fleetwood Mac and The Talking Heads.

Five years ago, Robin was asked to do a weekly gig at The Miramar Beach Restaurant. This was to be an all-star group featuring some of the coast’s veterans. Robin called on Chris Cotruvo, and Pete Amour (yes, that's his real name). The guitar drum duo that held it down for many years with the CJP band, not only do they have a lot of experience with each other and many styles of music, they had proven themselves as reliable, and easy going. Robin also called in her father Drew to play rhythm guitar, it's a family affair!!! Pete Amour played in a band where he developed a good relationship with the bass player, so he called Jeremy S Foster, the funk you smell when opening up a bottle of spoiled milk. The rest is history. Fast foward five years later… Drew moved to North Carolina, and we now perform as a quartet, allowing the sound to open up a lot, with a very free amoebic groove. We are primarily a live band, and to be truly appreciated one must witness it in that fashion. You won't be disappointed!

Brother Buzz was born when drummer Roy McKinney and guitarist John Hall were introduced to each other by a mutual friend in the late 1980's. Brother Buzz has been packing dance floors ever since. Guitarist Bob Noto joined up in 1990 and bassist Tom McManus in 2004. Each member is a mutli-decade veteran of the Bay Area music scene with experience ranging from rock to funk to punk to worship music. The band consistently gets high marks for energy, enthusiasm, and for being just plain fun. Tight but not too tight, they lay down the best of America's roots music, rock'n' roll, R&B, blues, and funk. The common element is "Ya gotta dance to it!" With multiple, versatile soloists and vocalists Brother Buzz rocks with variety as well as fire and enthusiasm. Put on your dancin' shoes, Brother Buzz is in town!
