Add Review/CommentThis concert features music by Max Bruch, Johannes Brahms and Samuel Barber. Violinist Michelle Maruyama will play the romantic Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1, a favorite since its première in 1868. Ms. Maruyama performs regularly with the Santa Rosa Symphony and is a member of the Phoenix String Quartet. The Concert opens with the Overture to The School for Scandal by Barber, a lively work based on Sheridan's famous Restoration comedy. The orchestra will also perform the majestic Brahms Fourth Symphony in E Minor.
