    Palo Alto Philharmonic Assistant Conductor Lee Actor will lead the orchestra in an afternoon of great overtures in the annual Youth and Family Concert. The concert is presented with the support of the City of Palo Alto. Actor will give a brief historical survey of the orchestral overture, beginning with Monteverdi, Overture to Orfeo. The concert will also include Bach, Overture to Orchestral Suite No. 3; Beethoven, Egmont OvertureRossini, Overture to La Gazza Ladra; Wagner, Overture to the Flying Dutchman; The concert will conclude with a rousing performance of the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky.
