    Michael Pollan has done a range of work in journalism, environmentalism, and architecture. As a contributing writer to the New York Times Magazine and an award-winning author of non-fiction, he spoke at the 2002 Wallace Stegner lecture series. He offers a unique discussion of the plant world, nature's viewpoint, and human culture's intersection with the environment. Paul Rogers is the resources and environment writer for the San Jose Mercury News. He was part of the Mercury News team that won the 1990 Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the Loma Prieta earthquake. His work has appeared in the Washington Post, Miami Herald, Seattle Times, Detroit Free Press, Chicago Tribune and other newspapers
