    A leading ecologist, scholar, and author, Gretchen Daily's ideas forge new ground about biodiversity, preservation, and the economy. She is currently at Stanford University as an Associate Professor (Research) of Biological Studies, Director of the Tropical Research Program of the Center for Conservation Biology, and Senior Fellow at the Institute of International Studies.
