    All is not well in Vienna when the Duke leaves his power in the hands of Angelo, a high court official. Smitten with Isabella, a nun on the verge of taking her vows, Angelo blackmails Isabella into sleeping with him in order to save her brother Claudio, who has been falsly sentenced to death. The mis-use of power, the imposition of one man's morals on a society, and the test of familial bonds are at the heart of one of Shakespeare's lesser known plays. Set in the sin-city era of 1970s New York. *This production includes adult themes. Directed by Jeff Bengford, Performing in repertory with The Merry Wives of Windsor. Some seating will be provided, but people are encouraged to bring blankets or low back chairs to the performances. People should dress in layers, as it gets cool in the evening.
