    This musical is based on Stephen Vincent Benet's novel, The Sobbin' Women, which was made into one of the great screen musicals of the 1950's by MGM. It's a colorful, warm, and comic tale about the rustic romances of seven wild backwoodsmen who are part of a family of Oregon pioneers. This musical is a happy, hand-clapping, foot-stomping country-type entertainment at its best. The delightful score teems with catchy songs, including Wonderful, Wonderful Day, Love Never Goes Away, and When You're In Love.
