The Campbell Highland Games Association proudly presents an evening of Celtic Music in honor of Celtic week in Campbell. Come Hear the sounds of Scotland: Gracing our stage will be World-class musician/songwriter/album producer Brian McNeill of Falkirk, Scotland. Brian is joined by John Taylor & Hamewith and local favorites Ce'Le' De. In 1969 Brian formed one of Scotland's premier music ensembles, Battlefield Band. Brian plays fiddle, viola, mandolin, cittern, bouzouki, guitar, concertina, bass and hurdy-gurdy. His profound influence on Scottish and Celtic music has long been internationally recognized. In 1987 his The Devil's Own Daughter won Britain's prestigious National Songsearch Competition. In 1990 he won the Texas Celtic Music Award for The Rovin Dies Hard. He was the Musical Director for the landmark Scots Women Concert at Celtic Connection 2001. His recent appointment as Head of Scottish Music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama has reinforced Brian's position as one of today's great forces in Scotland's music. He has produced albums for such renowned Celtic artists as Eric Bogle, Dick Gaughan, Ed Miller, Tony McManus, Jock Duncan and our own John Taylor.
