Oliver! the book, music and lyrics were written by Lionel Bart. It is the musical version of Charles Dicken’s tale about an orphan in Olde England. Oliver is born in a miserable workhouse and eventually taken in by an old thief and his merry band of boys who train him to be a pickpocket. It features a classic story with outstanding characters, memorable songs and production numbers and a cast of adults and children. Beloved songs include Food, Glorious Food; Where is Love; Consider Yourself; It’s a Fine Life; Who Will Buy?; Reviewing the Situation; and As Long as He Needs Me. Oliver! is a must see for the entire family to cheer, cry and root for Oliver to find his family of origin and to escape the seemy life of crime on the street.

    all and all this show was pretty good. The main characters fagin, dodger,nancy,mr. bumble were terrific. i would also like to give a round of appaluse for the for the orphans and pickpockets the older... Expand

The main characters fagin, dodger,nancy,mr. bumble were terrific. i would also like to give a round of appaluse for the for the orphans and pickpockets the older kids in general are very professinal, stay in character, and interact well w/ eachother dodger and fagin. Fagin gives a weasel like performance which is perfect and nancy seems strong willed and has an exellent voice. dodger is convincing and really illustrates what the pickpocket gang is about.
