Kevin Nealon has set himself apart from other comedic performers with his unique sense of humor, dry wit, and likeable demeanor. Nealon is best known for his ten-year stint as a cast member of NBC's Saturday Night Live. More recently, Nealon has received critical acclaim for his role in the Showtime series Weeds. The show was honored at the 2006 Golden Globes where they were nominated for "Best Television Series in a Musical or Comedy."

Nealon can next be seen in the much anticipated third season of Showtime's Weeds. The all-star cast which includes Mary Louise Parker, Elizabeth Parkins, and Romany Malco centers around a single mother, Nancy Botwin, who makes ends meet by selling marijuana. Nealon portrays Nancy's nearly perpetually stoned accountant and business advisor. Season two earned the show outstanding ratings and received numerous awards and nominations.

The longest running show at Spindrift! Asylum improv has been bringing comedy to Pacifica for 20 years! Fifteen of those years have been right here at Pacifica Spindrift Players. Asylum offers improvisational workshops and performances all year round.

PSP performs several live shows each year, usually following each PSP production. They perform a smorgasbord of games and scenarios, most based on audience suggestions, as we create scenes, characters, and entertainment right on the spot, just like they do on the television show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

PSP also performs a half-hour show each Friday night at 10pm on the local cable station, Channel 26. They tape two shows at the studio every other month. While not live, this show allows them to further hone their improv skills and play their favorite games. The show is also broadcasted to other cable channels in San Mateo County. In fact, Asylum shows were the first ever be sent out to these other cable channels!

Over Thanksgiving weekend, audiences will step back in time with an authentic vaudeville-style cowboy in the Will Rogers tradition. Sourdough Slim is a veritable “one-man Western extravaganza,” crooning Western classics, playing accordion, harmonica and guitar, dancing a jig, twirling a lariat and letting loose with award-winning yippee-ti-yi-yodeling. A favorite entertainer at cowboy gatherings and county fairs around the country, he’s also played the big time, wowing audiences at venues including Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center. This show promises to be a rollicking good time that will simultaneously amaze and delight audiences of all ages.

Late Night Catechism is a delightfully interactive adult comedy play based on an adult class (the audience) reviewing Catholic teachings. Though most definitely Catholic in context, this is a play with universal appeal. Interactions with the audience gives this play such spontaneity.

Recognized as one of the greatest comedians working today, Christopher Titus is rare in that he is innovative and fearless with any subject matter, and constantly walks an edge on the stage. Employing what he calls "hard funny," Titus can take the audience to the darkest place, and always bring them out with uproarious laughter. After years of experimentation with dark and personal storytelling, he debuted his one-man show, Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding, at The Hudson Theater in Los Angeles. The packed house gave him a standing ovation. Already a standout at the 1996, 1997 and 1999 Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, in 2000 Titus brought Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding to the Festival for a sold-out run at the prestigious Centaur Theatre. Titus' television stand-up includes two cable specials, Norman Rockwell is Bleeding for Showtime (2004) and The 5th Annual End of the World Tour for Comedy Central (2007), as well as regular appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He has guest-hosted Comedy Centrals' Live at Gotham, USO Comedy Tour and Friday Night Stand-Up.

She is a regular guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, VH-1, E!, and CNN.

Alonzo Bodden has proven himself to be more than just a stand-up comic. As host of the new Speed Channel show, 101 Cars You Must Drive, Bodden clearly demonstrates that his comedy is useful when taking on hosting duties. This is not Bodden's first time on national TV. After placing as runner-up on Season 2 of NBC's Last Comic Standing, he came back strong in Season 3 to take the grand prize.

Even before appearing on Last Comic Standing, Bodden knew there was nothing, absolutely nothing that would ever make him give up comedy. "That's the drug," he says, "when they laugh it's like I'm a jazz musician and they hear it, and they get it. It's power to take the crowd wherever I want them to go. I love it when they laugh, especially when they relate through laughter. It's a beautiful thing. It also means I'm going to get paid, which is nice." Along with Lewis Black, Doug Stanhope and Sarah Silverman, Playboy Magazine called Bodden "a spawn of Carlin," referring to the late George Carlin.

Michael McDonald was born and raised in Fullerton, Orange County, California. He graduated from USC with a degree in Business and became a loan officer at a bank in Los Angeles. A friend took him to see a sketch comedy/improv show at L.A.'s famous Groundling Theater, and everything changed for him. McDonald quit his job as a banker, enrolled in the Groundling's Improv Program, and became a member of the troupe from 1992 to 1997. His first professional writing and acting jobs came from Concorde Pictures, Roger Corman's infamous low-budget movie studio.

Starting as an extra, McDonald landed small roles in many B-movies of the early 1990s, and he gradually earned bigger roles as well as eventually writing and directing some films. He has had a cameo in every Austin Powers movie. After numerous small roles in various television sitcoms in the mid-1990s, McDonald obtained a starring role on Mad TV (1995). He is the longest-running cast member of Mad TV.

Mike was also an Emmy Nominee on HBO's Comic Relief and has performed on TBS, PBS and the nationally-syndicated Bob and Tom Show! He has been described by the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune and Denver Post as an "expressive, natural performer" a "chameleon mastering everyday characters," with the "well-scrubbed look of a mischievous boy-next-door with perverse habits." Also Appearing: Lachlan Patterson from Live at Gotham and Sammy Obeid.

Legendary comic Bob Rubin will be making a rare Bay Area appearance at The Little Fox along with fan favorite Larry "Bubbles" Brown. Who knows, the ol' Rube may even perform his classic 12 Days of Christmas, and with Bubbles on the show, there's a good chance you'll see Dueling Porn Titles. Bob's career as a writer and performer on the Roseanne show and featured performer on the Fox show Saturday Night Special as well as appearances on many other TV shows, have led him to film roles in The Animal and The Hot Chick. He is also currently filming the sequel to Boondock Saints. Larry " Bubbles " Brown recently appeared on Late Night With David Letterman and tours with longtime friend Dana Carvey. This promises to be the comedy event of the year...and just in time for the holidays!

There are many things to do during the week between Christmas and New Years Eve. People are restless and want to venture away from home, but not necessarily that far…so, following the great tradition of Bob Hope bringing the show to the masses, Mr. Will Durst is once again gathering his motley crew of jokesters and bringing the Big Fat Year End Kiss Off Comedy Show XVI to various theatres around the Bay Area. The show combines standup comedy, improvisation, and loosely written sketches based on the major news stories of the year. Will Durst spent the summer of 2007 in New York City Off Broadway starring in his one-man show “The All American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing.” Neil Genzlinger of The New York Times said: “Durst is at his sly, savvy best. A sharp one-man show.” Frank Scheck of the New York Post said: “Will Durst is the natural successor to Mort Sahl…rivals George Carlin.” Not bad for a guy from Milwaukee who’s had over 150 jobs in his lifetime.

Successful beyond their wildest dreams, the iconic comedy duo Cheech & Chong defined an era with their hilariously irreverent, satirical, counter-culture, no-holds-barred comedy routines. Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong's phenomenal success began on the stand up comedy circuit which led to 9 hit comedy albums and 8 hit films, breaking box office records, shattering comedy album sales, garnering multiple Grammy nominations and mesmerizing fans for more than a decade.
