Organization
Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society
The Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society is a non-profit organization for the musical arts. Since 1966 the Society has presented live jazz, classical, and world music in an intimate setting at the Douglas Beach House, Miramar Beach, Half Moon Bay, California. The Bach Society is not a member-only organization. It is open to the public seeking the artistic and musical styles that may interest them. Yet regardless of the style of music, there is a warm ambiance and communal feeling to the House and Concert Room, a room that brings the musicians and audience together in a special way. Though the Beach House is not a bar or restaurant operation, they cater a light buffet and have a wine and beer bar. Patrons may also bring their own picnics if they confine their eating to the outer decks, weather permitting.
Directions from Highway 280 or 101: Take Highway 92 West to Hwy. 1 in Half Moon Bay. Go north (right) on Hwy. 1 for 2.5 miles. Turn left on Medio, right on Mirada. (Important . . . DO NOT TAKE MIRADA ROAD OFF HIGHWAY 1. It does not go through to the Beach House due to footbridge.)
From San Francisco: 280 South, take Hwy. 1 exit toward Pacifica. Continue south on Hwy. 1 through Pacifica, over Devil's Slide, through Montara and Moss Beach. After the 2nd stoplight watch for Miramar sign, turn right on Magellan, left on Mirada.

This was without question the single most exciting jazz concert I have ever attended. Clayton's talent is as astonishing as his imagination and his technique. He and the the drummer and bassist received a standing O at the conclusion of the concert. A memorable Sunday afternoon. Collapse

I loved listening to Nancy play the Marimba...so many of the sounds and rythyms in nature. So beautiful. It was like sitting in an Indian sauna teepee, getting a full massage, speasial attn to the hands and feet, while looking at the stars and hearing the surf breaking on the rocks outside...wow! Transported to such a beautiful relaxing place. Fantastic! She is very unique and very talented. Collapse
