California Theatre Center (CTC)
The California Theatre Center is a company with three major programs: a resident company that performs primarily for students and families from October to May; a resident company that performs primarily for adults in the summer; and touring companies that perform regionally, nationally and internationally.
CTC has an extensive educational program featuring Summer Conservatories in over 10 South Bay Cities each year, Junior, Intermaediate, Advanced, and Saturday Conservatories as well as Special Interest Classes for adults, children and families, Internships and Outreach Programs.
The performing artist is the focal point of CTC. Since our society fails to recognize the value of performers, it is essential that their worth be fully appreciated in our theatre. We attempt to provide the performing artist with the best possible environment so that he or she can be as creative as possible. At CTC we believe it is important for us to think of excellence as a process rather than a product. Our company strives toward the goal of outstanding theatre.

This was by far one of the most entertaining evenings I have spent in a long time. I was enchanted, charmed, moved, and amused at this clever pairing of two short plays I had never heard of. The acting was SUPERB and in both plays which are starkly differnt yet compliment each other so well, the chemsitry of the pair of actors was astonishing. This is the second time I have been to this theatre for their summer rep and this is the second time I was so surprised by the talent, wonderful choice of scripts, and the technical professionalism and creativity of the shows. I so look forward to the next two shows! Do yourself a favor, grab a tissue (first show is a good, beautiful cry interspersed with such levity and poetry) and go spend a great 2 1/2 hours in Sunnyvale! Collapse

What a fantastic show all around! The script was clever, the acting really wonderful and skillful, and the technical magic is so worth it. CTC does a stellar job with this production from beginning to end. Surprisingly scary, adn as a lover of horror films I was certainly skeptical at how theatre could make me jump. But it's just such a unique and wonderful piece. Please go see this, it's the last week and you'll be really delighted you did. Collapse

Just saw a performance of this, my first children's show at CTC and I was so impressed with the production value. The kids in the audience were totally intrigued and the children on stage along with the adult actors were so much fun to watch. I chuckled throughout! Well done! Collapse

It's a quick-paced show, and these guys have the right chemistry to pull it off brilliantly. I've seen the show (by another theatre company) before, and had a great time - Shakespeare doesn't have to be stuffy! Collapse
