"San Jose shows its heart for our local veterans"

As though leading troops to an engagement, many of Santa Clara's political leaders, chauffered in classic T-birds and sporting campaign smiles convoyed down Santa Clara street to the cheers of San Joseans and visitors. Appearing through the clouds of history, Colonial Revolutionists trodded by...then tramped a motley of Civil War veterans, demeanor deadly serious and wary of Rebels. Eager cub scouts, several fine school bands, Antique cars and WWI doughboys filled the exhibiting streets of downtown; Past and present members of the current forces graced the roads, and even a miniaturized submarine rolled by. We saw children carrying portraits of men and women who had given their lives for the happy future of the rest of us. Unlike parades of long past years, there were no equine representatives, as the old Cavalry is all but forgotten...but they were a hard act to follow, anyway. Collapse

I've seen BTE live and boy are they a fun group. The new album is great and they always interact with the audience and play all the favorites! Don't miss them!

Matt Nathanson sounds better live than he does on his album! I wish he would have played longer than the opening band did, they were good but matt nathanson was amazing. I was also surprised at the number of people smoking pot since the majority of people at a matt nathanson concert are teenage girls. Overall it was fun and I would pay to go see matt nathanson again. Who else is going to play tonight? Is it just wailing souls or are there going to be other related artists to? Any openers for wailing souls?

I was one of the few who stuck it out until the end of the movie. Unfortunately, much of the movie was impossible to see due to the street lights. The good news is that an announcement was made at the end of the evening apolozing for the street light issue and promising that it would not be an issue in the future. Unfortunately, picture quality was not the only problem...much of the movie was difficult to hear. This was due to a combination of the sound level needing to be turned up, the rude people in the back of the crowd who were obviously there to visit with friends and not watch the movie, and the extremely noisy break-down of the wine/beer booth partway through the movie. I have been to Cinema on San Pedro Square in previous seasons and had a good experience. I will probably attend again this season in the hope that these major kinks will be worked out. My fingers are crossed!! Collapse
