Naatak - Bay Area Indian Theater
Naatak is a group of Indian Theater enthusiasts, made up of San Francisco Bay Area residents. This amateur group was originally formed by students at Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley.
Naatak dedicated to providing thought-provoking, relevant drama for Indians in the Bay Area. All their plays are staged in Indian languages, aimed primarily at Indian audiences. As far as possible, they attempt to present to the audience situations with which they can identify. The characters on the stage are, in a sense, drawn from the audience.-
