    Cambodian Culture Dance Group

    CARA (Cambodian American Resource Association) is the main catalyst for many Cambodian American Community programs and activities, including our Khmer New Year Celebration, Khmer Literacy Programs, and a number of other culturally rich and community based activites. As a big supporter of Cambodian culture, CARA has continued its sponsorship of dance classes. These classes specifically offer to the Cambodians 5 years and older the opportunity to learn Khmer classical and folk dances. The purpose of the classes is to revitalize aspects of Khmer culture that can be performed and presented to the public through the Khmer New Year event occuring around mid-April. The classes generally run from September to April.
